The Home Depot
Founded in 1978 in Atlanta, Georgia, The Home Depot is the world's largest home improvement retailer, with over 1000 stores in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, Chile and Argentina. Voted America's Most Admired Specialty Retailer by Fortune magazine for seven straight years, The Home Depot gives you the lowest prices and the highest levels of customer service.

The Home Depot has provided a community-based work experience for the students involved in the PCTP grant program. Community-based work programs expose students to a variety of work settings to help them make decisions about future career directions or occupations. The process helps the student develop interests and discover strengths and weaknesses in relation to the demands and other characteristics specific to the job site.

The Home Depot organization, as described on their web page www.homedepot.com, is committed to helping students stay focused on school and employment. The Home Depot supports two schools participating in the PCTP grant by providing a safe place for them to engage in retail work experiences. This gives the students strong site-specific knowledge and meaningful life skills.
